With first order of 5.5 kilo, we started business way back in May 1996 with loss of USD 12, but strong belief of not giving up in life even in hardest circumstances laid the foundation of the co, where it stands today. Afterall,Jaunty is what this means.
Today we export to 35 countries around the globe. We are not the Biggest Manufacturers or Exporter of Beads from India but have strong presence in Indian and International Market, We have 'Latest' technologies from Italy, Taiwan & China.
The business started from single room office in 1996 and in April 2003 the 17,400 sq ft. land was acquired [in Home town Tundla], where the unit-I is located, currently all manufacturing is done here. In April 2005, another Land of 14640 sq. ft. was acquired in Export Promotion Ind. park, Agra [ remember Taj Mahal], the main Office and Showroom are located here. In past couple of years, we invested more then 3 million INR in our production facilities.
In India, Glass Beads is a cottage based industry, centralised around Varanasi and a village in our state [Uttar Pradesh]. All Exporters of beads acquire beads from these 2 places. Even we had been doing the business same way but constant urge for growth and creating a niche for Jaunty in International market, led to acquire new technologies and in-house manufacturing of various products.
At presently, We have following in-house productions :
1] Drum Polish [ Its a process in which the bead is rounded / rotated in special drums with various chemicals [ 3 stage process] , which results in smoother edges and better shining of beads. You find it in JPSC8 Mix from our collection.
Currently 900 kilo of beads / day is passed through this process
2] Matte Finish (also called Frost), Its a process in which bead is treated with chemicals to burn (sand blast) the outer surface. At present we can finish 1000 kilo of beads / day.
3] Manufacturing of Beads by Machines, 600 kilo / day.
4] Manufacturing of pressed Glass Beads by Semi-auto and Fully automatic machines.
This increment in production is in addition to the Lamp work beads, which are made through traditional process.
With use of new machines, in-house job process and latest Imported Technology, we have improved our production capacity, lower our cost of products , improved time of delivery for our entire range of products.
Buyers of Indian glass beads had been haunted by white flakes [ remember that white chalk coming out, every time you make jewellery] say it Bye-Bye, now most of our Beads are without these flakes[on requests].
